Provide the gift of education to a child

Conviventia helps break the cycle of poverty in Colombia with our Friends of Hope sponsorship program, which offers two options: For $36 per month, your education sponsorship will ensure a child living in poverty with little hope for change can receive a strong Christian education and truly better themselves and their families. A protection sponsorship will provide programs to strengthen families and eliminate the abuse and exploitation of children.

Once you become a Friend of Hope, you will receive your child’s photo and biography, a Friends of Hope welcome package, and access to our Facebook community page for US-based sponsors. You can expect to receive the first letter from your child about 4 weeks (at the latest) from the time of making your commitment. However, the moment you have chosen to sponsor a child and she/he is assigned to you is the moment this child is ready to hear from you! Through letters, pictures, and gifts, you confirm your commitment that someone on the other side of the world cares about their future. Your communication will make a big difference in your sponsored child’s life. You will receive reports and updates on your child’s progress, as well as letters and drawings from them. We encourage sponsors to treasure these tokens of love and gratitude in the same way our students do, often displaying the photos and letters their sponsors send them in their homes. Our suggested channel for communication is through our email: sponsorship@conviventia.us; where all communications with your sponsored child will be securely managed. However, you may also communicate with your child via traditional mail, but likewise, all letters and/or gifts must be sent through our US office; ensuring privacy and security for both yourself and the child.
